2006 Lebanon War

In 2006, Lebanon and Israel were in a war. The war was started when some Hezbollah (an organization in Lebanon) fighters attacked Israel soldiers who were in Lebanon. This made Israel very angry and they started to attack Lebanon with bombs and rockets. Hezbollah also attacked Israel by firing rockets into their cities. This went on for a few weeks until a ceasefire was declared and the war ended. During the war, many people in Lebanon and Israel were killed or injured and a lot of people had to leave their homes to find safety. It was a very sad and scary time for people in both countries.
