2018 European Cycling Championships
Hey there little friend! Do you know what cycling is? It’s when people ride bikes! Well, every year there’s a big race in Europe where lots of really good cyclists come together to compete against each other. It’s called the European Cycling Championships and it’s like the Olympics, but only for people who like to ride bikes!
In 2018, lots of countries sent their best bike riders to compete in the European Cycling Championships. They had lots of events, kind of like races, but there were different kinds of races. Some were on the road outside, where the cyclists rode their bikes for a really long time, and other races were inside on a track, kind of like a big circle.
There were also different categories for different age groups of cyclists, so even kids like you could compete if they’re really good at riding their bikes!
At the end of the championships, they gave out medals to the cyclists who did the best. Gold medals went to the absolute best, silver to the second best, and bronze to the third best.
