2020 United States presidential election

So, every four years, in the United States, we have something called a presidential election. This is when people get to vote for the person they want to be the leader of the country.

In 2020, there were two main candidates: Donald Trump and Joe Biden. They both wanted to be the president, but they were in different political parties.

People all over the country got to vote, and the candidate who got the most votes in each state got some special points called "electoral votes." The winner is the person who gets the most electoral votes all across the country.

However, this election was a bit different than usual because we were in the middle of a pandemic. This meant that more people voted by mail instead of going to the voting booths.

After all the votes were counted, Joe Biden won more electoral votes than Donald Trump. This means that Joe Biden became the president of the United States.

The election was very important because the president makes a lot of decisions about how the country is run.
