9th century in poetry

Some people were writing in a language called Old English, which is kind of like a really old version of what we speak today. Other people were writing in other languages like Arabic and Chinese.

Another famous poet was named Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad. He was from Arabia and wrote lots of poems about love and beauty.
