ANOVA

ANOVA stands for Analysis of Variance. It is an analysis used to compare more than two sets of data to determine if one set of data differs from the rest. It does this by looking at the differences between the means of each set of data. If the means of two or more sets of data are similar, then the data from those sets are the same, and if the means are different then the data from those sets are different. ANOVA is often used in research to figure out if different groups of people (or animals or objects) differ on something, like a test score or amount of experience.
