ASEAN

ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations. It is an organization made up of ten countries in Southeast Asia. These countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. They came together in 1967 so they could work together to make their countries stronger, safer, and more prosperous. One of the ways they do this is by working together to solve problems, like natural disasters, or by helping to buildroads and other infrastructure. They also work together on trade and economic activities, so that businesses in all the member countries benefit.
