Abbasid refers to a time long ago when a group of people called the Abbasids became the rulers of important parts of the world. They had lots of power and decided what happened in the places they ruled. They lived in a city called Baghdad and it was a very important place for education and culture. The Abbasids ruled for a long time and they had a big impact on the world.
