Abstract structure is like a blueprint for a building. A blueprint is a drawing or plan of the way something should be built. Abstract structure is exactly the same, but instead of a blueprint for a building, it is used for things like computer programs. It tells the computer what steps to take and how to organize the code so that it will work properly. It's like a set of instructions for the computer.
