ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Acquired taste

Acquired taste means that something may not taste good to you the first time you try it, but if you keep trying it again and again, your taste buds can start to like it! For example, at first, you may not like the taste of coffee or grown-up foods like spicy peppers, but as you try them more, you might start to like them. It's like when you try a new activity or game, you may not be good at it at first, but as you practice more, you get better at it and start to enjoy it. So, acquired taste means that with practice and patience, you can learn to like things that you may not have liked at first!
