Acts 16

Acts 16 is a story in the Bible about a man named Paul and his friend Silas. They traveled to a city called Philippi and met a woman named Lydia, who became a follower of God after hearing Paul speak.

One day, they encountered a young girl who was being used by some bad people to make money by telling fortunes. Paul commanded the evil spirit to leave her and it did. This upset the bad people who were making money from her and they had Paul and Silas arrested.

While in jail, Paul and Silas sang songs and prayed to God. Suddenly, there was a big earthquake which shook the jail and opened all the doors. The jailer was scared and thought all the prisoners had escaped, so he was going to kill himself. But Paul told him they were all still there. The jailer was amazed and asked Paul how to be saved. Paul showed him the way to God and the jailer and his family became believers.

So, even though Paul and Silas were arrested and put in jail, they used the situation to show others the power of God and spread the message of Jesus.
