Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a company that makes computer parts, such as processors, graphics cards, and other parts for computers. AMD's processors help your computer run faster and more efficiently. Graphics cards from AMD make computer games look better, and can also help computer programs run faster. AMD also makes other types of parts--called "chipsets"--that make all the different parts of a computer work together. Without these chipsets, your computer wouldn't know how to communicate with the other parts of your computer, like the processor and the graphics card.
