ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Advocate General

An Advocate General is like a helper who helps to explain and give opinions about complicated legal things to judges in Europe. Imagine you have a really hard puzzle, but someone who is really good at puzzles comes over to help you figure it out. That's what an Advocate General does for judges. They read a lot of legal papers and listen to arguments from both sides, and then they give their thoughts on how things should be decided. This helps judges make sure they understand everything and make a good decision.
