Aedicule

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes when you go to church, there is a little room or box where people light candles and say prayers? That little room or box is called an aedicule.

An aedicule is a fancy word for a small structure or shrine that usually has a little roof or canopy over it. It can be found in all sorts of places, not just in churches. Some people even have aedicules in their gardens or homes to honor someone special or to remember something important.

So, the next time you see a little room or box with a roof on it, just think of it as an aedicule!
