ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Aggregate (composite)

Imagine you have a bunch of toys - some blocks, some cars, some stuffed animals. Each toy is different, but together they make up a big pile of toys. This big pile is like an aggregate, because it is made up of lots of different things.

Now imagine that you have a special toy that is made up of lots of different parts. Maybe it's a robot that has arms, legs, a head, and a body that all snap together. This toy is a composite, because it is made up of lots of different pieces that fit together to make one bigger thing.

Aggregate and composite are similar because they both describe things that are made up of lots of smaller parts. The difference is that aggregate usually means a big pile of different things, while composite means one big thing that is made up of lots of smaller pieces.
