Agricultural wastewater

Agricultural wastewater is the yucky water that comes from farms that grow things like fruits, veggies, and animals.

When farmers water their crops or give their animals drinks, the water gets mixed with dirt, bugs, and poop. That yucky mixture is called wastewater.

Agricultural wastewater has to be treated before it can be put back into rivers or lakes because it can harm fish and other living creatures.

A special process called treatment removes the yucky stuff from the wastewater. Think of it like washing your hands - you use soap and water to remove dirt and germs.

After treatment, the water is clean and safe to release into the environment. This helps keep our rivers and lakes healthy for fish and other critters.
