Aircraft propeller

An aircraft propeller is like a big spinning fan that helps make the airplane move through the air. You know how when you blow on a piece of paper it moves? That's kind of like what the propeller does, only it's way, way bigger and more powerful.

The propeller is made up of long, curved blades that are connected to a central hub. When the pilot starts the airplane's engine, the propeller starts to spin really fast. As the blades turn, they push air backwards, just like when you use a paddle to move a boat forward in the water.

The air that the propeller pushes backwards creates a force called thrust. The thrust from the propeller helps to move the airplane forward through the air. The faster the propeller spins, the more thrust it creates, so the airplane can go faster.

Aircraft propellers come in all different sizes and shapes, depending on the type of airplane they're used on. Some are designed to be very fast and efficient, while others are made to be really powerful. But no matter what the propeller looks like, its job is always the same: to help the airplane move through the air and fly safely to its destination!
