Albanian mythology

Albanian mythology is a bunch of stories and legends that people in Albania used to tell each other a long, long time ago. These stories were about gods and goddesses, creatures, and heroes who lived in the olden days.

One of the most important gods in Albanian mythology was called Zana. Zana was said to be a beautiful fairy who helped people in their daily lives. She would clean their houses and help with chores, but only if the people treated her with respect.

Another important character was Bolla, a creature that looked like a dragon with three heads. Bolla was said to have the power to suck water out of rivers and make the land dry. People used to tell stories about how heroes would try to defeat Bolla to save the land.

In Albanian mythology, there were also many gods who controlled different aspects of nature. For example, Perëndi was the god of the sky and thunder, while Drita was the goddess of light.

Many of the stories in Albanian mythology were passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth. They were an important part of Albanian culture and helped people make sense of the world around them.

Today, Albanian mythology is not as widely known as it used to be, but there are still people who tell these stories and keep the traditions alive.
