Alfajor

An alfajor is a yummy treat that people love to eat in some countries like Argentina, Peru, and Chile. It's made up of two round cookies that have a filling in between them. The filling can be made of different things like dulce de leche, which is like a caramel made with milk, or fruit jelly.

Sometimes the outside of the cookie is covered in chocolate, powdered sugar or coconut flakes. It's kind of like a sandwich cookie, except the filling is really delicious and it's extra special because it's often handmade. People like to eat alfajores for dessert or as a snack with tea or coffee. They taste so good that you might want to eat more than one!
