Amatonormativity

Amatonormativity is a term that describes the way that society treats relationships and marriage as the only "normal" way for people to have relationships. It means that people think that everyone should want to be in a romantic or sexual relationship with someone else and that it's the only way to be happy or successful. Amatonormativity can put pressure on people to get married and can cause people to judge those who are not in a relationship or don’t want to get married.
