American Camp Association

The American Camp Association (ACA) is an organization that helps kids go to summer camp. They check that the camps are safe and fun for kids to attend. Kind of like when your parents check the playground before you play on it. The ACA makes sure that the camps follow rules and have trained staff that know how to keep you safe. They look at things like the camp's water supply, the food that's served, the buildings and equipment, and the activities that are offered to make sure everything is good for you. When you go to a camp that is ACA certified, you can feel happy knowing you will be spending your summer having a great time with friends, learning cool new things, and making awesome memories.
