American Discovery Trail
Okay kiddo, today we are going to learn about the American Discovery Trail! It's kind of like a really long path that goes through a bunch of different states in America, kind of like a really long trail that you can follow from one end to the other.
The trail goes all the way from Delaware on the east coast to California on the west coast, and it's really long, like over 6,800 miles long! That's like walking from your house to your favorite restaurant 100 times!
Along the way, you can see lots of cool things like mountains and forests, big cities and small towns, and even historical landmarks like old buildings and battlefields! People can walk, bike, or even ride horses along the trail if they want to, and some people even try to hike the entire trail from one end to the other!
