American mutilation of Japanese war dead

American mutilation of Japanese war dead is when American forces during World War II (1939-1945) would do things to the bodies of Japanese soldiers who had died in battle. This included taking and keeping parts of the bodies such as teeth or other bones, as well as taking photos of and mocking the dead. This was wrong and disrespectful and is not something we should do.
