Amphibious excavator

An amphibious excavator is a special digging machine that can do excavation work both in water and on land. Imagine a big toy truck that can float in water like a pool toy and dig in sand like a digger truck.

The excavator has big wheels or tracks that can travel across land and can also be driven in water like a boat. It has a big arm with a scoop at the end that can be used to dig in the ground or underwater. The operator sits in a special cabin that can spin around to give them a good view of what they're digging, even when the machine is partly or totally submerged in water.

This type of machine is very useful for digging in areas that are covered in water, like rivers, lakes, swamps or shallow seas, and can help to build bridges, dams, or remove obstacles that could cause flooding or other problems. With an amphibious excavator, workers don't have to wait for the water to recede to do their job, and that can save time and money.
