Ancient Macedonian language

Okay, kiddo! Let's talk about the ancient Macedonian language.

So a long, long time ago, there was a people called the Macedonians. They lived in a place called Macedonia, which was in an area that is now part of Europe.

The Macedonians had their own language, which they spoke and wrote in. But this language is very, very different from the modern Greek language that we hear now. It's kind of like how English from a long time ago is different from the English we speak now.

Some people who study ancient languages have tried to figure out what the Macedonian language was like by looking at old writings and inscriptions. They use what they know about other languages from that time and place to try to piece together what the Macedonian language might have been like.

But because we don't have anyone around who speaks Macedonian anymore, it's hard to know for sure exactly what it was like. So people are always learning more and trying to figure it out.
