Ancient use of cannabis

So a very long time ago, people used to use a plant called cannabis for different things. Some people would smoke the leaves of the plant to feel happy or relaxed. Others would use parts of the plant to help with pain or sickness.

Lots of different ancient cultures used cannabis. The ancient Egyptians, for example, used to use it to help with things like inflammation, which is when your body gets swollen and sore. They would also use it to help with things like glaucoma, which is when your eyes have too much pressure and it's hard to see.

Some other ancient cultures that used cannabis include the ancient Greeks, the ancient Romans, and the ancient Chinese. They all used it for different reasons, but they all thought it could help with different health problems.

It's important to remember that different cultures used cannabis in different ways, and it wasn't always legal or safe to use. These days, scientists are still studying cannabis to see if it can help with different health problems, but it's important to talk to a doctor before using it to make sure it's safe for you.
