Androgen deficiency

Androgen is a type of hormone in the body that helps grow hair and muscles, and it helps with certain things like having a healthy sex drive. When someone has androgen deficiency, it means they don't have enough of these hormones in their body.

Think of androgens like superheroes in your body that help you grow and be strong, but when there's not enough of them, it's like your superhero team is missing some important members.

People can have androgen deficiency for a few different reasons. Sometimes it's because they were born that way, which means their body doesn't make enough androgens. Other times, it can happen later in life because of sickness or injury.

When someone has androgen deficiency, they might notice some changes in their body. For instance, they might have less hair on their body or a weaker sex drive. They might also feel more tired than usual or not as strong.

Doctors can help people with androgen deficiency by giving them medicine to replace the missing hormones. This can help them feel more like themselves and be healthier overall.
