Hypoestrogenism

Hypoestrogenism means that a person doesn't have enough estrogen in their body. Estrogen is a hormone that is made by a person's body, and it does a lot of important things. It makes a person's body look more like a grown-up's body, helps with their periods if they are a girl, and affects their bones, brain, and heart.

When a person doesn't have enough estrogen, they might not develop the way they should. If they are a girl, their periods might not start or they might stop having them. They might not grow as tall as they should or have the curves they would if they had enough estrogen. If they are a boy, they might not develop in the way that they should as well.

There are many reasons why someone might have hypoestrogenism, like they might not be making enough estrogen naturally, they might have a genetic condition that affects their body's ability to make estrogen, or they might not be taking care of their body in a healthy way. Doctors can help people with hypoestrogenism figure out what is causing it and can give them medicine or other treatments to help them feel better.
