Angel of mercy (criminology)

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard the term "angel of mercy"? It's a really interesting phrase that people use to describe people who seem really nice and helpful, but who might actually be doing some bad things.

In criminology, an "angel of mercy" is someone who works in healthcare, like a nurse or doctor, who helps sick people feel better. But sometimes, these people might secretly be hurting the very same people they are supposed to be helping.

For example, they might give sick people medicine that is too strong or do medical procedures that the sick person didn't actually need. This can be really dangerous because it could make the person even sicker or even cause them to die.

Even though an angel of mercy might seem like they are doing good things, it's not okay for them to do bad things at the same time. It's important to always make sure that healthcare workers are following the rules and doing things that will actually help sick people get better.
