Animals in war

Animals have been used in wars for many years. Just like how soldiers are trained to fight in wars, animals like dogs, horses, and even pigeons were trained to help during the war.

Dogs were used to help soldiers in many different ways. Some dogs were trained to find and dig out people who were trapped in the rubble of bombed-out buildings. Other dogs were trained to attack and distract enemy soldiers to help the soldiers stay safe. Some dogs helped detect hidden bombs that could hurt the soldiers if they stepped on them.

Horses were also used in wars as they could carry soldiers and heavy equipment for them. Horses were strong and could move quickly. They were very useful for soldiers who needed to travel long distances.

Pigeons were used to carry messages back and forth between soldiers. They could fly through the sky and not be detected by the enemy. They were also used to deliver medical supplies and other important items that soldiers needed.

Although animals were helpful in wars, it was often dangerous for them too. Many animals were injured or killed during wars just like soldiers. However, their bravery and sacrifice helped save many lives and made the world a safer place.
