ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Anthropic principle

The anthropic principle is a way of understanding why the universe exists the way it does. It's about understanding that the universe exists for us to be in it. It means that the universe exists in a way that allows us to understand it, and that the universe needs us to be a part of it. We can look at the laws of the universe, like gravity and how the stars move, and see that if the laws of the universe were just a little bit different, we wouldn't be here. So, the anthropic principle is about understanding that the universe was created in a way that allows us to be here. It's like recognizing that the universe is made just for us.
