ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Goldilocks principle

The Goldilocks Principle is like a bedtime story you may have heard as a child. In the story, Goldilocks finds a house with three bowls of porridge. One bowl is too hot, one is too cold, and one is just right. The Goldilocks Principle says that for any situation, there is an ideal balance or just-right solution. It means not too much or too little of something. We can use this principle to help us make the best decisions.
