Anthropocentrism

Anthropocentrism is the belief that human beings are the most important or valuable part of the world. This means that people think human needs should be put first, even above the needs of animals, plants and other living things in the world. For example, if there was an animal habitat where animals and plants needed to live, but humans wanted to build a building there, and anthropocentrism meant that the needs of the humans would be more important than the needs of the animals in that habitat.
