Apostolic poverty

Okay kiddo, so apostolic poverty is when someone who follows the teachings of Jesus chooses to live a life without having a lot of money or possessions.

You know how we have a lot of toys and clothes and things we like to play with? Well, someone who practices apostolic poverty would have a lot less toys and clothes and things because they believe it's better to focus on helping people and doing good things instead of having lots of stuff.

So, instead of spending all their money on things for themselves, they might use it to help others who don't have as much. They might also live in a small and simple home and wear simple clothes so they don't become too attached to material things.

The idea behind apostolic poverty is that it helps people live a more humble and compassionate life, like how Jesus lived. It's not for everyone, but some people choose to follow this way of life because it makes them feel like they're doing good in the world.
