Approach lighting system

An approach lighting system is a special kind of lighting that helps pilots when they are landing their airplane. It's like a special map of lights that helps the pilot know exactly where they are in relation to the runway.

There are different kinds of approach lighting systems, but most of them have rows of lights that start far away from the runway and get closer and closer as the pilot gets closer. This helps the pilot know if they are coming in at the right angle and speed.

Some approach lighting systems even have special lights that help the pilot know how high they are above the ground. These lights change color depending on how high the airplane is flying.

Overall, approach lighting systems are important because they help make sure that airplanes can land safely even in bad weather or at night when visibility is low.
