ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Arabic

Arabic is a language that people in some parts of the world speak and write. Just like how you speak and write in English, some people speak in Arabic. The way people write Arabic looks a little different from English – it's a lot more curvy and has dots and lines on top of some letters.

Arabic is important for many people to communicate with each other. If you know Arabic, you can talk to people who speak it and understand what they're saying. You could also read books or websites that are in Arabic. It's like how you can read a book in English and understand what the words in the book mean.

People who speak Arabic say words differently than people who speak English, and they use different words too. Just like how "dog" is "perro" in Spanish, different languages have different words for things. But if you learn Arabic, you can understand and communicate with those who speak it, and that's pretty cool!
