ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Architecture Degree

An architecture degree is like going to school to learn how to make really cool and fancy buildings! Just like when you draw and color pictures, architects draw and make plans for buildings using shapes and measurements. They also think about important things like how many people will use the building and how it will be able to stay safe and strong over time.

To get an architecture degree, you have to go to college and take classes that teach you all about these things. You learn math and science to help you figure out how to make buildings that are safe and can stand up to things like wind and earthquakes. You also learn how to be creative and think about what kinds of buildings would look good in different places like cities or by the ocean.

After you finish college, you can start working with other architects to design real buildings! This means you get to use all the things you learned in school to help make things like new offices or even big stadiums for sports games. It's a really important job because buildings are where we live, work, and play, so architects have to make sure they are safe and enjoyable for everyone who uses them.
