Arecibo message

The Arecibo message is a message sent into space to try and talk with aliens. It was sent into space from the Arecibo Observatory, which is a big telescope in Puerto Rico that can see into space. The idea was that if aliens were out there, they might be able to pick up the signal and send us a message back. The message had lots of numbers and pictures to try and explain things like the kind of planet we live on and the kind of people who sent the message. For now, no one has sent us a message back, but it's fun to think that maybe one day aliens will answer us!
