Arend Heyting

Arend Heyting was a Dutch mathematician. He created a new way of looking at mathematical ideas and problems. He developed a system of logical rules that helped mathematicians create logical arguments about mathematical ideas. This system is called Intuitionistic Logic, and it is important to lots of different types of mathematics. Basically, it's like having an extra set of rules to help you think more clearly and accurately when doing math.
