Armistice between Italy and Allied armed forces

An armistice is like when two kids stop fighting and agree to take a break. It's a way to pause and talk things out instead of continuing to fight.

In this case, Italy and the Allied armed forces (a group of countries that were fighting against other countries during World War II) were fighting each other. But then they decided to stop fighting and agree to an armistice.

This meant that they would stop shooting at each other and have a meeting to talk about how they could end the war peacefully. It was a way to take a break from the fighting and work towards a solution.
