Artuklu Palace
Artuklu palace is a big building where kings and queens used to live a long long time ago. It was in a place called Mardin, which is in a country called Turkey. The palace was built by a very important family called Artuklu, who were in charge of the area.
The palace was very fancy and had a lot of rooms where the king and queen could do different things. There was a big room called the throne room where the king would sit on a big fancy chair and make important decisions. There were also lots of bedrooms for the king and queen, a kitchen where people would make food, and even a place where they kept their horses!
But even though the palace was very nice, something bad happened a long time ago and it was no longer used by kings and queens. People forgot about it for a long time and it started to get old and damaged. But some people thought it was very important to keep the palace and remembered how special it was. So, they fixed it up and now people can visit it and see what it was like a long time ago!
