Asbestosis

Asbestosis is a serious disease where your lungs get damaged by particles of asbestos, a type of mineral that was used in building materials and other products. It happens when you breathe in tiny asbestos fibers and the fibers get stuck in the tiny air pockets in your lungs and don't leave. Over time, those fibers damage the tissue in your lungs, and your lungs become scarred. This can make it hard for you to breathe and can make it harder for you to get enough oxygen into your body.
