Ashurkhana

An ashurkhana is a very special place that is found in some homes where people follow a religion called Zoroastrianism.

In Zoroastrianism, they believe in a god named Ahura Mazda who is very important to them. The ashurkhana is a place where they can come to pray and connect with Ahura Mazda. It is usually a small room that is set up in a special way with some pictures and symbols that are important to them.

When someone goes into the ashurkhana, they take off their shoes as a sign of respect. Then they might light some candles or incense and say some special prayers or read from a holy book. Sometimes they might even sing or chant.

The ashurkhana is a peaceful and sacred place for Zoroastrians to come and feel closer to their god.
