Asteroid

An asteroid is a big, scary-looking rock that travels around in space. They are made up of ice and dirt, and they are often found near the orbits of planets. Asteroids can be small enough to fit in the palm of your hand or as large as a mountain! They fly around in space and don't always stay in the same place. Some asteroids will even come close to the Earth and could even hit it, but luckily most of them miss!
