ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Astigmatism

Astigmatism is when your eyes are not perfectly round like a ball. Instead, they are more like a football. This means that the light coming into your eye gets bent differently in different directions, which leads to blurry vision. It's like looking through a distorted piece of glass. This can make it harder to see things clearly, like letters on a page or faces from a distance. People with astigmatism need special glasses or contact lenses to help the light bend in the right way so they can see better.
