Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences

The Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (AARMS) is a group of people who really like math and want to do research on it together. They come from different places in the world, but they all live in the Atlantic region of Canada, which is like a big area that includes places like Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island.

When the people in AARMS want to study math together, they might meet at special events called conferences. These conferences are like big parties where everyone talks about math! They might also work together on research projects to try and solve really hard math problems.

AARMS is important because math is used in lots of different parts of life, like in building things, designing computer programs, and understanding how things move and change. By doing research on math, people in AARMS can help solve real problems in the world and make our everyday lives better. Plus, it's really fun to do math with friends who share your interests!
