Attack ad

An attack ad is a type of advertisement that is used to criticize a particular person or group. The ad is usually paid for by an opponent in a political or commercial campaign, or by a group or individual opposing a certain cause. Attack ads usually focus on a negative aspect of the person or group they are targeting and try to make the viewer of the ad think less of them. The goal of an attack ad is to get more people to vote against the person or group they are attacking.
