Attribute substitution

Attribute substitution is when you replace an attribute in a sentence with a different word or phrase. For example, you might say "I went to the store" and then you might want to make the sentence more interesting by saying "I went to the marketplace". This is an example of attribute substitution, because you have changed one attribute (the word store) to a different attribute (the word marketplace).
