An aulos is a special kind of musical instrument that people used to play a very long time ago. It's kind of like a flute or a recorder, but instead of just having one tube to blow into, it actually has two! Each tube has a hole in it for your fingers to cover or uncover to make different notes.
When you blow into the aulos, the air goes into one tube and out the other, which makes a really cool sound! People in ancient Greece and Rome used to play the aulos at festivals and events to make music for everyone to enjoy.
Even though we don't really use the aulos anymore, we can still learn about it and listen to recordings of people playing it to appreciate the ways that people made music in the past.
