Australian megafauna

Australian megafauna is a term used to describe a group of animals that were once common in Australia but died out thousands of years ago. These animals were much bigger than animals we see today, like giant kangaroos, giant wombats, and huge lizards. Scientists aren’t sure why these animals died out, but some think it was because of changes in the environment or human activity.
