ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Autism rights movement

The autism rights movement is about making sure that people who are on the autism spectrum, or have autism, get the same rights and respect as other people. This means that people who have autism should be treated with respect, and people should understand that autism is not a bad thing. It is also about creating a more inclusive and understanding society, so that people with autism can be accepted and be involved in activities like other people. People in the autism rights movement also want to make sure that people with autism get the support and services that they need.
